Exhibition and Kiev book launch of Lviv–God’s Will

The Naked Room Gallery and Bookshop opens its doors for the first time with a double exhibition of Lviv – God’s Will by Viacheslav Poliakov, and On the Edge by Elena Subach. These two artists are also collaborators in an exciting new project, City of Gardens, which was shortlisted for the 2018 New East Photo Prize.

At the 14th December opening there will also be a Kiev launch for Viacheslav’s first photobook, hosted by IST Publishing – all are welcome!

Metropole London Book Launch

Lewis Bush Metropole

Join photographer Lewis Bush and publisher Tiffany Jones of Overlapse Books at the Albert Arms in Elephant and Castle to launch Metropole, a new book examining London’s reshaping at the hands of property developers, investors and speculators.

Elephant and Castle was where Metropole began four years ago. Join us for a drink to celebrate it’s conclusion just a few hundred metres from where the first photograph for the book was taken. Copies of the Metropole book will be avaliable for sale, along with a limited edition poster.

Meet us in Paris at Polycopies from 7-10 November

If you are in Paris this week please join us for the Polycopies photobook fair happening on the Concorde Atlantique boat, docked on the Seine just a short walk from the Louvre and Grand Palais (Paris Photo)! Hours are Weds-Fri until 9pm and Saturday 10am-7pm.

We will have all our new and latest books with us – by Viacheslav Poliakov, Lewis Bush, Mandy Barker, Bego Antón, and Pascual + Vincent!

Don’t miss out on the final copies available of The Disappearance of Joseph Plummer and The Tree of Life is Eternally Green!

We also present a special ‘Tree of Life’ artist edition box from Pascual + Vincent, featuring their hand finishes to the trade edition book, flourished with clippings from their personal botanical collection gathered in Romania. Edition Toronto International Art Book Fair

The /edition Art Book Fair is produced annually in tandem with Art Toronto – Canada’s International Art Fair. We are thrilled to be participating this year (the third edition) and look forward to sharing our books with a new audience!

Please come by the Metro Toronto Convention Centre if you are in the city. We are on the ground floor at the Front Street entrance and look forward to meeting you! Free admission and all are welcome!

Mandy Barker at V&A Museum’s New Photography Centre

Mandy Barker at V&A Photography Centre

Massive congratulations to Mandy Barker for having her provocative first book Beyond Drifting: Imperfectly Known Animals featured in the inaugural exhibition of the new Photography Centre at the V&A in London!

This major display entitled ‘Collecting Photography: From Daguerreotype to Digital’, explores photography ‘as a way of collecting the world, from the medium’s invention in the 19th century to the present day’. The show runs until 2020.

Mandy’s original book is now out of print, but her new pocket-sized Beyond Drifting: Digest Edition is now available to order!

Atlanta Celebrates Photography 20th Anniversary

ACP Photobook Fair Atlanta 2018

Thank you to Atlanta Celebrates Photography for hosting Overlapse at the 2018 Photobook Fair held at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia on 12-13 October! We had a fun time sharing our books, made even better surrounded by the brilliant retrospective works by Atlanta-based artist Larry Walker.

In it’s 20th year, ACP ‘aims to make Atlanta a leading center for the world’s fastest growing art form’. There is a wonderful community surrounding photography in Atlanta, and for the full month of October there are over 100 events and exhibitions to experience.
